Well it's almost that time again and I have had a few requests for some simple card kits...so,here's a couple I made today, aptly assisted by Madeleine (aged 8) on Cuttlebug and Jordan (aged 4) on packing duties! Don't worry the QA officer (me - lol) checked them thoroughly!
I shouted myself to one of the 8" x 8" tablets and BOY are they great value - you get papers, journalling cards, die-cuts, titles and more! Here's a couple of quick layouts I did in between baby duties!
There's hidden journalling on the bottom left hand side (the whole photo flips up) - in my haste I forgot to downsize the pic I took of underneath to show you - sorry)
AND...a quick little note for my sister Susan (her blog link is in my sidebar)
Here's a little peek at a card I made with the adorable NEW purple patterned paper range being released this month by KAISER. I also used our NEW release Cupcake stamp set by HERO ARTS for the front sentiment & flower, and inside the card - too sweet!! - Keep watch on our online store so you can grab yours! Better still why not join our friendly forum and that way you will always know the latest news and be inspired by the work of our talented Designers!
Here's one of our NEW Beginner Kits available in store - this one uses the new release Circus range by KAISERCRAFT. Our kits have all materials including templates (if required), lettering and a photo of the suggested page. The only thing not included is adhesives, paint, pens and inks as we figure you would have those anyway!
We have a HUGE range of designs, themes and colourways in store starting at just $6 so why not have a browse next time you are in store. You can also purchase many kits by mail order. Just email us at firstname.lastname@example.org, phone us on 02 65535307 or browse our online store at http://www.scrapsidaisy.com.
Well I just wanted to wish everyone a very Happy Easter !!
We have been very busy at the store creating gorgeous Easter baskets and cards - it almost seems too sad to put it all away again - but pack up we must because here in NSW School Holidays start on Tuesday which means MEGA FUN Kids Classes!
There's plenty of fun to be had and, although I won't be there in store this holiday teaching the classes, I can still imagine the delight on little faces when they proudly leave the store showing off something they have created all by themselves. If you have crafty kids make sure you phone, email or drop in - we are running classes every day at 11am and 2pm - there's also a Parent & Child Crop day so you can get into the fun too!
I will be back soon to share some new kits however in the meantime I just wanted to say a HUGE THANK YOU to all of our wonderful customers and friends who have passed on well wishes, cards and gifts to celebrate the arrival of our baby boy, Samuel. Many have asked for a photo so here's one taken a couple of days ago. I can't express enough how grateful we all are to have such wonderful, thoughtful friends.
Our FREE monthly Scrap & Cardmaking Day is TOMORROW -Valentine's Day! All are welcome - check out the cute little giveaways I have made up today - filled with pink & white M & Ms and pink foil covered, heart shaped, delicious chocolates!!
Even if you can't come for the day, why not pop in for a look and a shop - we have our CUTTLEBUG giveaway happening as well as some cute Lucky Door prizes.
It's all happening so quickly! I saw a teacher today at the kids school - she loved the idea and I am going up to the school on Monday afternoon armed with 30 cards and supplies. I have also arranged to visit the local pre-school armed with cardstock, foam stamps and paint to get some fronts done for cards to make up AND the editor of the Manning River Times emailed me back to say she will do a piece in the local paper on Tuesday to encourage lots of readers to make up cards and drop them in! It's getting exciting to think we can all help in this way doing something we love to do!
Don't forget if you have a few minutes and some scraps why not whip up a couple of quick cards and drop them in to the shop - we sure would appreciate it!
Over the last few years I have contributed hand made cards to groups or people organising to donate cards to army service people, retirement village residents and the like who don't often have access to shops etc so that they can send loved ones birthday cards, thank you cards etc.
Which got me to thinking - why not start an appeal for handmade cards for the victims of the bushfires. In the next few months, indeed years ahead, they are going to be doing it very tough financially and with whole townships burnt down, may not have access to shops to buy cards to say "Thank you", or "I miss you", or "I am doing okay" or indeed "Happy Birthday".
I am going to start making some tonight - perhaps you could whip up one or two as well and send or drop them into to the shop. My aim is to be able to send 100 cards (hopefully more).
